Robert’s Story

NCIA’s Herbert J. Hoelter Vocational Training Center (VTC)

Army veteran Robert had an extensive background in HVAC/R. After serving his country, he struggled with an unfulfilling job and the adjustment to civilian life — eventually turning to crime to cope. He served multiple sentences, and was finally driven to make a change. After enrolling in our HVAC/R training, we received our support services to help him access transportation, housing and food stability. He is now the lead instructor for our HVAC/R program.
